When Eduardo Camavinga suffered an injury in the final moments of the match against Getafe on April 23, he appeared to have said farewell to the FIFA Club World Cup.
After all, the injury was said to keep him out for at least three months or possibly even more.
However, the French international has exceeded all expectations and resumed training with the ball in under two months.
So much so that, AS now reports that Camavinga’s participation in the FIFA Club World Cup is no longer impossible.
Indeed, the 22-year-old midfield talent, who is attracting interest from Arsenal, could be a surprise returnee for Real Madrid at the tournament in the USA.

There is no final decision yet. Everything depends on his recovery, on how comfortable he feels striking the ball, and the confidence he builds.
If a return happens, it will only be in the final stage of the tournament, and only in favourable scenarios. No risks will be taken.
As per the report, when he returns, Camavinga will be a key figure for Xabi Alonso. Not just because of his style of play – aggressive in pressing and capable of breaking lines – but also due to the imminent departure of Luka Modric.
Internally, at the club, there is belief that the midfield trio he forms with Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde has much more to offer in terms of structure and organisation.
After a season riddled with injuries, Camavinga himself is looking for redemption and is motivated to prove himself and end the campaign by making a miraculous comeback – one that seemed improbable a couple of months ago.
