Real Madrid confirmed that defender Éder Militão suffered another ACL injury on Saturday.
The news arrived about two hours after Los Blancos beat Osasuna 4-0, which saw the Brazilian forced off on a stretcher.
Militão went down in agony during the first half, with staff and players coming to his aid immediately as he clutched his right knee.
The injury is the second ACL tear in two seasons for the 26-year-old, this time occurring in his opposite knee.
Militão suffered the same issue in his left knee in the opening game of last season before returning in March.
Madrid will also be worried about the status of Rodrygo (quad) and Lucas Vazquez (hip), who were forced to leave the pitch on Saturday with injuries.
