With every passing year, the football calendar for top European clubs only gets more gruelling and demands far more than mere tactical stability and flair on the field.
Fighting through the calendar year now requires serious grit, stamina, physical fitness and squad depth, something Real Madrid have been adapting well to in general.
Last season, however, it was the fitness front that let down the club in many ways with regular injury crises across the field leaving the manager with few options to choose from.
The central defence and full-back positions, in particular, left Carlo Ancelotti begging for more depth last season and the failure of the same can be pinned on the medical department.
As relayed by Alberto Pereiro of Onda Cero now, Real Madrid have identified that flaw and even instantly made rectifications on the medical team. The journalist states that Los Blancos have now changed their entire medical department.

The club have parted ways with most of the previous staff and replaced them with new physios who have experience working at clubs including Barcelona, Real Betis, Granada and Malaga.
Clearly, Florentino Perez and Co.’s hope is that the renewed ideas from the physios incoming will help Real Madrid tide across next season with minimal injuries. Keeping players fit, after all, is key for the long season ahead.
The new medical team will be responsible for the overall fitness of players and ensuring a speedy recovery for all players sidelined through setbacks.
With a new manager and methodologies already in place, there is reason to hope for a conspicuous improvement.
The primary focus, needless to say, will be on names like David Alaba, Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy who have been extremely injury prone in recent times. Jude Bellingham, who also recently underwent surgery, will remain a priority.
