La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Saturday been afforded a boost on the personnel front.
This comes by way of the return to fitness of young frontman Vitor Roque.
On-Barcelona Barcelona talent Roque suffered an ankle injury earlier this week. En route to Betis’ home defeat at the hands of Mallorca, the Brazilian was hauled off midway through the 2nd-half, in evident discomfort.
After Roque was then left out of the Verdiblancos’ squad to face Las Palmas on Thursday, the following update was provided by the club:
‘Following tests carried out by the club’s medical services on our player Vítor Roque, a low-grade sprain of the internal ligament of his left ankle has been confirmed. The prognosis will depend on the evolution of the process.’
The goalscorer, in turn, was labelled as a major doubt to feature against Espanyol this weekend, too.
Late on Saturday, though, the Betis faithful have been afforded some altogether positive news when it comes to Roque’s wellbeing.
This comes amid confirmation that the 19-year-old has been included in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad for Sunday evening:
