After the game, players and coaches reacted to a thrilling Bavarian derby between Augsburg and Bayern - here are all the voices to FCB's 3-2 victory over FCA:
About his nomination to the German national team: “You're only the national goalkeeper once you've played a game for the national team. Being nominated means a lot to me, I'm really looking forward to the games. I haven't spoken to Julian Nagelsmann yet, only the goalkeeping coach. I speculated and thought I might get the call-up, it was a nice feeling.”
About Manuel Neuer: “Manuel Neuer had a big influence on me when I was growing up; he was a role model for me as a child.”
About the injury to his teammate Robin Fellhauer: “Robin is doing well under the circumstances. He's bleeding and has to get to the hospital, but it could've easily been much worse.”
About his new coach Sandro Wagner: “He is setting an example for us, and we are following his lead - we are on the right track. I am very proud of the team; you can see the progress we are making, and we are looking forward to the coming weeks.”
About his opponent Finn Dahmen and his national team call-up: “Finn Dahmen should keep playing as he did today; he has earned this opportunity.”
About many young goalkeepers looking up to him: “I am always looking forward to working with and talking to young goalkeepers. It's nice when young players look up to you, it gives you the feeling that you've done something right - and that you're quite old.”
About tonight's game: “Conceding goals is always very annoying; but we left a lot of chances up front. We created a lot of good chances - and we did it perfectly against Leipzig where we scored most of our big chances. We did well today too, but we can do better in offense and defense.”
About his team's performances so far this season: “To give some context: we had hardly any preparation ahead of the season, but we played some great games at the start. We need to do much better, but we're already very good at creating big chances. Defensively, we need to be calmer; there's still a lot of work to be done. We need to slow down the pace, be more compact, things like that, and then we'll have the momentum on our side again. We have the right people and, of course, we need to analyze what we can do better in the future.”
About the drama surrounding the transfer of Nicolas Jackson: “On the way home, I'll find out more about the transfer of Nicolas Jackson; I don't have enough information yet to say anything new.”
About the injury to his player Robin Fellhauer: “Robin has a severe concussion. I expect better behavior from the Bayern players in this situation - go over and apologize, don't just walk away coolly. It becomes quite a different situation when you see his family crying in the tunnel, while he is being taken to the hospital.”
About his team's performance tonight: “I always struggle with pride in soccer, but today I was really proud of my team. Eight weeks ago, we decided to go on a journey, and now we're here and played great against Germany's best team; we wanted to win and we came close. When Harry Kane has to help out at left back in the second half, you know you've done something right.”
About what he brings to the team and what he wants in the future: “I have enough energy for my team and I hope my injured players come back well soon. We can't do much more than give it our all - we don't have many options in terms of budget, but that's exactly why we want to give it our all. We want to prove that we are a great team.”
About whether anyone from his DFB-coaching team reached out to him: “Julian [Nagelsmann], Rudi [Völler] - everyone from the DFB has been in touch with me to be honest, which I'm very happy about. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them in their games.”
