Bild report that RB Leipzig have appointed Maximilian Englert (36) as the club’s new chief scout on the recommendation of Daniel Baier. The Heidelberg native joins the Saxony club after spending the last 7.5 years at Bayern Munich as a first team scout.
After missing out on European football completely, RB Leipzig are currently restructuring the club. According to Bild, the club has already addressed 16 personnel related issues surrounding the first team during the summer break, while further changes aren’t being ruled out.
Team psychologist Peter Schneider has left the club with a replacement expected soon. Bild further report that match analyst Fabian Friedrich, who has been at the club since 2012, will also leave. Dr. Percy Marshall has also left the club for Premier League side Bournemouth, while Simeon Unger – the club’s physiotherapist – will move from Leipzig to the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center in Thalgau, Austria.
