RAYADAS WIN THE CLUB'S FIRST TWO-TIME LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!
With an agonizing penalty shootout, Rayadas defeated Tigres Femenil to win the Apertura 2024 championship, which, along with the Clausura 2024, closes a dream year for the albiazules.
Rayadas started the match with intensity. Tigres scored two goals before halftime and, in the second half, Monterrey scored three goals to tie the aggregate and send the match to a penalty shootout.
Jermaine Seoposenwe had the first dangerous play, after a cross from Christina Burkenroad at minute 11, but the South African's shot ended up in the hands of the rival goalkeeper.
At minute 27, Lucia Garcia sent a great pass to Jermaine Seoposenwe, who arrived alone in the box, dribbled the goalkeeper and sent the ball into the back of the net, but the referee disallowed the goal for offside.

At 79', Tanna Sanchez came close to a brace with a shot that bounced off the rival defense and was sent for a corner kick by the feline goalkeeper.
After reviewing the VAR, the referee awarded Tigres a penalty kick for a foul by Merel Van Dongen inside the box.
Pamela Tajonar played the hero by saving Lizbeth Ovalle's shot, showing signs of the great night she was about to have.
The referee gave 8 minutes of extra time and the goal fell in what was practically the last play.

In the penalty shootout, Pamela Tajonar scored the difference and Rayadas took the win.
With a powerful right-footed shot, Katty Martinez scored the first penalty kick of the night, and Jaqueline Ovalle equalized the score.
A powerful shot by Rebeca Bernal gave Rayadas the lead back and Pamela Tajonar kept it when she saved Jimena Lopez's shot.
Mayra Delgadillo missed her penalty kick and Pamela Tajonar kept the score level by saving Natalia Villarreal's shot.
Tajonar herself took confidence and shot from the eleven steps area from the side of the goal and Sandra Mayor equalized again.
Lucia Garcia and Anika Rodriguez scored the fifth penalty kick for each team, forcing sudden death.
To close out the match, Merel Van Dongen scored her penalty kick and Pamela Tajonar capped off a great night by saving her fourth penalty kick of the night (one in regulation time and three in the shootout).
