Claudio Ranieri was recently considered as Luciano Spalletti’s replacement to lead Italy’s national team.
Following Spalletti’s dismissal, FIGC president Gabriele Gravina reportedly approached Ranieri – who is now acting Roma’s advisor – to take over the national team.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, today there was a summit between Ranieri, Florent Ghisolfi and Gian Piero Gasperini, the new Giallorossi coach.
In the meeting, Ranieri reiterated his desire to continue his journey in Giallorossi, and to keep his word to the Friedkin family, with whom he has established an excellent bond.
