Claudio Ranieri discussed the new challenge that awaits him as the head coach of Roma.
While in his third chapter in the Italian capital, Ranieri outlined the club’s objectives as well as his satisfaction from returning to the club of his heart.
In an interview with Koora Break on YouTube, Ranieri said “Roma are not in a great situation at the moment in terms of the standings.”
“My priority is to bring the right atmosphere back to the stadium, have the fans back on our side.”
“I am the fourth coach in 2024, it is normal that so many different tactics and gameplans have been applied.”
“The fundamental thing is to work, understand where to intervene and improve. Every moment can be a challenge, when you arrive during the season you have to be good at managing the squad at your disposal.”
“Since I couldn’t play friendlies to test the team, I asked them to help me because it’s not easy to manage 26 different players alone. You can also lose, it doesn’t matter, but I always want to see my team fight until the end.”
“We want to achieve some goals this year for us, the owners and the fans. We are not in a good position now, so qualifying for a European cup would make me happy.”
“Dan Friedkin told me that this year I will be the coach of Roma, while next year I will be the person who will supervise everything. I am very happy to be back.”
