Barry Ferguson has stated that he is curious to see whether Phillippe Clement will hand Rangers new boy Hazma Igamane a start in the next game after his impressive displays in the last two outings.
Rangers signed the young Moroccan centre forward in the summer window to introduce depth into their forward line-up.
So far Igamane has featured twice for Rangers, both of them coming off the bench and his display against Dundee United last weekend garnered praise from the fans and former players.
Ferguson stressed that Igamane is a talented boy with a destructive on-the-pitch nature and stated that he understands why Rangers’ fans are taking into him.
The ex-Gers star also praised Igamane’s solid physicality and added that he curious to see whether the youngster will get chance in the starting line-up against Dundee at the weekend.
“I’m also very curious to see if there is a starting place for Hamza Igamane after an interesting couple of cameos from the Moroccan in the last two games against Celtic and United”, Ferguson wrote in his Daily Record column.
“I can see why the fans are excited by this young man because he’s explosive, built like a brick s*** house and looks like a talented boy with the ball at his feet.”
The 21-year-old centre forward will be eager to impress Clement on the training ground this week to get himself in the Rangers boss’ starting line-up for the next game.
