“Ramped up” | Hammers target Anderlecht midfielder | OneFootball

West Ham are targeting in the hunt for attacking midfielder Mario Stroeykens this summer.

As the summer window gets up and running, with the club edging closer to building the kitty as Nayef Aguerd gets closer to the exit, West Ham are now ramping up the recruitment drive ahead of a hugely significant season.

It’s now understood that Stroeykens is one on the list, as the club look to show that next season isn’t set to be all doom & gloom as many are feeling at present.

The Belgian who currently plies his trade at Anderlecht, is has been identified by Kyle Macaulay and Graham Potter as someone they are looking to bring to east London.

The 20 year old fits the mould of the type of player that Potter is targeting, with a drive to build a young, pacey and exciting West Ham side, which fans can connect with and be encouraged by.

At this stage the talks are at an enquiry stage, however this is set to be ramped up, along with others, once the funds are available to Macaulay and Potter.
