The former Eintracht striker and goalscorer in the 2022 UEFA Europa League final has become a lifelong member of the club.

For two seasons, Rafael Borré led the line for the Eagles after joining the club in summer 2021 from River Plate. During that time, the striker enjoyed plenty of highlights, not least on account of his crucial goals in the UEFA Europa League.

Oh, what a night…

In the 2022 Europa League final, Borré achieved Eintracht immortality against Rangers, sliding the ball home from a Filip Kostic cross to bag the equaliser. In the shoot-out that followed, the now 29-year-old then stepped up to take the final penalty and held his nerve from the spot to secure one of the biggest titles in the club’s history. Three years later to the day, Borré was given lifelong membership, making him part of the Eintracht family forever.

“I have great memories of the club and moments that I think back to so often,” said Borré. “It’s three years now since we won that trophy together. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!”
