Adrien Rabiot was evasive when asked about his future with Juventus, noting how he ‘won’t talk to the club’ until after the Coppa Italia final.

The 29-year-old Frenchman has around six weeks left on his contract with the Bianconeri, leaving him open to leave the club on a free transfer on July 1st. Last year, he only penned a one-year renewal just three days before his previous deal was set to expire.

Rabiot is one of the highest earners in the Juventus squad, earning around €7m net or €9.17m gross per year. This season, he’s seen over 2800 minutes of action across 33 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists in that time.

Evasive Rabiot

Speaking to Sky Sports Italia via TMW after Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Salernitana, Rabiot was asked about his future at the Old Lady.

“I’ve already said it, as long as we haven’t achieved our objectives, we won’t talk to the club. When we are in the Champions League and we have won this Coppa Italia, we’ll see.

“I’m happy and proud to be here and to lead this team of young people. This evening, I also had the captain’s armband. In football we need to talk about things, but we’ll see after the final.”

Rabiot then gave his thoughts on Juventus’ recent run of poor form.

“The situation has been complicated for many weeks. We must try to stay calm above all, because there is a final to be played on Wednesday. It’s not the time to go off the rails now, there are three games left to go end of the season, but these situations can happen in football.

“It’s a young and inexperienced group, so it makes sense. We played a bad first half against Salernitana, there’s nothing else to say. Then we did better in the second half, we created chances. However, it must be said that we’re not very clear.”
