FLW's QPR fan pundit has pleaded for the Hoops to approach Lewis O'Brien this summer, amid interest from Swansea and Wrexham

Queens Park Rangers have been urged to bolster their midfield ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with one man in particular singled out as the ideal candidate.
The Hoops face a summer of change, with Marti Cifuentes’ departure all but confirmed, meaning there will be a fresh face in the home dugout at Loftus Road next season.
Former Norwich City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup has reportedly held talks with the club over the role, according to John Percy of The Telegraph, after he was dismissed by the Canaries in April.
QPR will aim to finish higher than the 15th place they achieved this season, and will have to invest in recruiting some new players to do so.
FLW’s QPR fan pundit, Louis Moir, has singled out one player that he thinks could raise the bar next term, and hopes the club can fulfil his wish this summer.
“One realistic signing I'd like to see QPR make this summer is probably an extra midfielder,” stated Louis. “Because I think we lack a certain amount of ability and experience in the middle of the park sometimes.
“I think we'll be looking for another midfielder, especially if we're going to release the likes of Lucas Andersen or Jack Colback. I think one name that could be quite a realistic one to look at would be Lewis O'Brien.
“He's been out on loan a few times since joining Nottingham Forest and he's a player I've always liked to watch during his time in the Championship. I think he's someone that would fit in and something we're missing.
“He's got legs, he's tidy on the ball, he's got experience in this division and I really like him as a player. He'd fit in nicely in midfield.
“We’ve got Jonathan Varane, Sam Field and Nicolas Madsen now who are playing well, but you're going to need other options in terms of a box-to-box midfielder who could do that job.
“Lewis O'Brien's a good shout, as I imagine he'll be looking for another move in the Championship. He was on loan at Swansea last season, so it depends on what happens there, but you'd be shocked if he's not playing in the Championship again next season with his level and ability.”
A midfielder with bags of Championship experience, O’Brien has been on the wish list of multiple Championship teams over the past few years, and for good reason too.
The reputation he built up at Huddersfield Town as a quality midfielder who can operate in different sections of the engine room saw O’Brien secure a move to Premier League Nottingham Forest in 2022.
After struggling to feature regularly in the top-flight, O’Brien spent a period across the pond with DC United and LA FC, before returning to the Championship on loan with Swansea City this season.
The 26-year-old has featured regularly for the Swans since joining, playing a crucial role in the Welsh side’s rise up the table during the second half of the season.
However, due to the midfielder’s attractive profile, potential suitors aren’t limited, and it was exclusively revealed by Football League World that second-tier new boys Wrexham are interested in securing O’Brien’s signature this summer.
Therefore, if QPR want to sign O’Brien, they will have to beat off multiple teams, offer a lucrative package, and prove to the midfielder why Loftus Road should be his preferred destination in the upcoming window.
