An early Christian Pulisic strike and late clincher from Santiago Giménez fired Milan to an edgy 2-0 win at Venezia on Sunday afternoon.
Scorers: Pulisic 5', Giménez 90+6'
The Rossoneri struck for an early opener through Pulisic's 16th goal of the season when he easily slotted home from close range after the home side lost possession on the edge of their own area.
John Yeboah looked to have levelled before half-time, only for an offside call to rule the goal out.
They were further aggrieved by the officiating after the restart when huge penalty appeals for a foul in the area from Strahinja Pavlović were waved away.
It took until the sixth minute of injury-time for Milan to put the result beyond doubt thanks to a well-executed close range lob from Giménez after coming off the bench.
The victory sees them close the gap on the top six to five points, while the Lagunari remain in the relegation zone, a point from safety.
