PSG’s victory against Barcelona won’t change Kylian Mbappé’s decision to join Real Madrid | OneFootball

Interviewed after PSG’s comeback victory against Barcelona, Kylian Mbappé (25) was asked by Téléfoot if the result could influence his future at Les Parisiens. The France captain decided in December that he would leave his hometown club at the end of his contract and join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Lots of speculation still exists around Mbappé’s pending move to the Spanish capital with no final decision communicated to the public. That is unlikely to come when a possibility of PSG and Madrid facing each other in the Champions League final still exists. Nevertheless, there is a clear understanding that behind the scenes the 25-year-old will leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

‘No’ change of heart

After an impressive result and performance against Barcelona, Mbappé was quick to dismiss any possibility of him reversing his decision to leave the club. Asked by Téléfoot about the result potentially changing his decision, Mbappé was resolute in his response, simply saying, “No, no.” It remains to be seen when Mbappé’s official decision will be communicated but he looks to have his heart set on leaving PSG at the end of his contract.
