Ousmane Dembélé and Paris Saint-Germain have won all of the trophies on offer in 2025. It was Dembélé who got the late winner against AS Monaco in the Trophée des Champions at the start of January, and he has since won the UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, and Coupe de France.

PSG are in contention to add another trophy, the FIFA Club World Cup, to their cabinet. Les Parisiens will face Bayern Munich in the quarter-final of the competition. PSG are favourites heading into the encounter and indeed to go on and win the entire tournament.

Whilst Dembélé insists that he is focused on the club’s collective objective of winning the inaugural edition of the event, he also has a personal objective, and one that he believes he is closing in on. “I’m thinking about [the Ballon d’Or],” revealed the France international in an interview with DAZN.

He added, “I know that, with the season that I have had, I am not far [from the Ballon d’Or], but I am focused on the objectives, before thinking about myself.”

The Ballon d’Or is awarded earlier this year, with the ceremony set to take place in Paris on 22nd September. It is then that Dembélé will find out if he has done enough to win the highly coveted individual prize.
