Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé this week made use of the opportunity to have some fun at the expense of teammate Kylian Mbappé.

As much, of course, comes as Mbappé prepares to bring his long-term stint on the books of PSG to an imminent close.

After last week making his decision not to renew his contract at the Parc des Princes official, the 25-year-old will imminently be unveiled as the latest headline addition to the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Real Madrid.

The two parties have been locked in negotiations for several months now, with an announcement on the part of the latter all that remains to make the move official.

Mbappé, for his part, was present at the Ligue 1 end of season awards ceremony late on Monday night, during which he saw his exploits recognised by way of the Player of the Year prize.

And yet, almost inevitably, it was instead the subject of the France international’s future which soon took its place centre stage.

After taking to the podium to accept his award, Mbappé’s plans for next season were put to him by the awaiting media.

And though the prolific wide-man was keen to keep his cards close to his chest, one of his teammates felt it the right time to have some fun at Mbappé’s expense.

Questioned on whether or not he is aware of his attacking partner-in-crime’s upcoming landing spot, Ousmane Dembélé provided a humorous response, drawing a hearty laugh from Mbappé:

“Mbappé’s future? [Marcel] Desailly said it, he’s going to Saudi.”
