According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG saw a €210m bid rejected by Napoli for both Victor Osimhen (26) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24) during the summer transfer window. Les Parisiens targeted the pair of forwards as they looked to bolster their side following the departure of Kylian Mbappé (25) on a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Despite clearly outlining their intentions to sign both Napoli attackers, they were unsuccessful on both fronts. Negotiations for Osimhen rumbled on until the end of the window with Antonio Conte declared he could leave the club, but an appropriate offer never materialised with Napoli clearly unwilling to sell both players to the same club.
Les Parisiens were unsuccessful in their efforts to bring Kvaratskhelia to the Parc des Princes in the summer, but they didn’t have to wait long before he would wear the tricolour shirt of PSG. In January, the Ligue 1 champions secured a deal to sign the Georgian international forward for a fee in the region of €70m.
