PSG face Real Madrid, tonight at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium, for the Club World Cup semi-final. The winners will face Chelsea FC in the final this Sunday. PSG have the opportunity to qualify for another final after winning both the Coupe de France and the Champions League. Should they do so, it means they would have played every game of every competition they were involved in this season.
Unfortunately, PSG head coach Luis Enrique won’t have all his key players at his disposal. Ecuador international centre-back Willian Pacho (23) won’t be available for selection after being handed a two-game suspension. The same can be said about Lucas Hernandez (29), who also received a red card against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals (2-0). Both Pacho and Hernandez have been allowed to leave PSG’s squad.
In the absence of Pacho, Brazil international Lucas Beraldo is in line to accompany his fellow countryman Marquinhos at the back. Apart from that, Luis Enrique is expected to field his strongest team against Los Merengues.
Gianluigi Donnarumma; Nuno Mendes, Lucas Beraldo, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi; Fabián Ruiz, Vitinha, João Neves; Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué. (L’Éq)
