Warren Zaïre-Emery (17) is set to return to the starting lineup when Paris Saint-Germain face Borussia Dortmund in the final group stage match of the UEFA Champions League group stage on Wednesday night.
Zaïre-Emery was initially ruled out until 2024 after he suffered an ankle sprain whilst on France international duty. However, the academy product’s recovery has been much quicker than expected, and he therefore came off the bench against FC Nantes at the weekend. He is now set to return to the starting XI in Germany on Wendesday.
Marquinhos also made his return against Les Canaris, and he too is expected to start against Dortmund. He will likely partner Milan Skriniar at the heart of the defence.
One of the major question marks is who will start alongside Kylian Mbappé up front. Ousmane Dembélé is a big miss for Les Parisiens as he is suspended against his former club. Mbappé will likely start once again in his “free role” through the middle. Randal Kolo Muani and Bradley Barcola could get the nod.
