PSG land blow in ongoing Kylian Mbappé wage dispute | OneFootball

The dispute between Kylian Mbappé (26) and Paris Saint-Germain rolls on. The latter have now landed a blow in the ongoing saga.

Mbappé has been entangled in a long-running dispute with his former club, PSG, over €55m of unpaid wages and bonuses. The dispute began when the Frenchman left Les Parisiens at the end of last season to join Real Madrid on a free transfer. In a development in April, the France captain was authorised to make a precautionary seizure of the aforementioned amount, which was frozen in the club’s accounts ahead of a legal hearing.

However, as per the AFP via Le Parisien, the legal authorities have now caused for the release of that seizure. The seizure, called for by Mbappé’s lawyers, who are managing the ongoing case, has therefore been lifted and the sum of €55m is no longer frozen within PSG’s accounts. It is a minor victory for PSG in what is an drawn-out battle between the club and their former star forward.
