Paris Saint Germain returned from their European defeat with a convincing 4-2 victory over Angers on Saturday.
Scorers: Lepaul 90+1′, Biumla 90+6′; Kang-In 17′, 20′, Barcola 31′, 45+2′
It was one-way traffic at the Stade Raymond Kopa as PSG dominated the pitch in front of Angers fans, but the hosts ensured things finished interestingly!
An unlikely name got the party started, with two goals slammed home from almost the same position in the box by Lee Kang-In.
The South Korean continues to climb the club’s scoring charts, with six goals in 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season, only bested by Bradley Barcola.
But the Frenchman then had his say to ensure he remained PSG’s leading goal scorer.
A brace of his own began with him comfortably curling home a slow roller from Marco Asensio inside the box before the two goal scorers combined for the club’s fourth.
The first-half damage was enough for PSG to walk away happier, as Angers failed to trouble goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma until the very end.
Himad Abdelli teed up substitute Esteban Lepaul, who volleyed home before the Italian goalkeeper to erase his clean-sheet hopes. Then in the dying moments, Emmanuel Biumla headed home a second for the hosts.
PSG hold a six point lead over AS Monaco while Angers’ winning run ends at two games and they sit 15th.
