PSG confident of Gianluigi Donnarumma contract extension | OneFootball

There is optimism that Gianluigi Donnarumma (25) will sign a contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from RMC Sport.

Donnarumma’s future at PSG has been called into question. His performances have contributed to that uncertainty, notably his lack of assurance in the UEFA Champions League, whilst a report from L’Équipe last month suggested that PSG would make a move for Lille OSC shotstopper Lucas Chevalier in the summer. Should the France youth international arrive, it would almost certainly entail Donnarumma going elsewhere.

The Italy international’s agent also cast doubt surrounding any renewal. “His future at PSG? We are in a period of reflection. We will see. Anything can happen. Now we are on standby in contract talks,” said Enzo Raiola back in December.

However, RMC Sport now understands that there is now optimism regarding a renewal, albeit on different terms. All parties are currently confident of an agreement being reached. Donnarumma, as he has repeatedly stated publically, wants to remain with Les Parisiens and this willingness on his side is also feeding the general optimism about a positive outcome.

Donnarumma’s current deal with Les Parisiens expires at the end of the 2025/26 season and so time is of the essence.
