The race for European football continues as Werder Bremen host RB Leipzig at Weserstadion on Saturday.
Werder Bremen are currently in eighth place with 47 points and are just three points behind Leipzig who are in sixth place and are currently occupying a Conference League spot.
Ole Werner’s side recently threw away a 2-0 lead last weekend as they drew 2-2 against Union Berlin.
The green and whites will be unable to qualify for Europe if they lose on Saturday and will also be out of the race if they draw and Mainz beat Bochum.
Their opponents recently endured an entertaining affair with the champions Bayern Munich, as they drew 3-3.
Leipzig were 2-0 up in the game but then found themselves trailing 3-2 until the 95th minutes when Yussuf Poulsen rescued a point.
Zsolt Low’s side are just two points behind Freiburg who occupy the final spot to qualify for the Champions League.
Losing on Saturday would end their hopes of a Champions League spot if Freiburg beat Holstein Kiel.
