Amid ongoing scrutiny and mixed results, the performance of several Juventus players remains under the microscope, according to Bianconera News, Tutto Juve, Spazio J, and JNetwork24.

Dusan Vlahovic’s tenure in Turin is a frequent topic of debate. Speaking to TMW Radio via Bianconera News, former forward Arturo Di Napoli addressed the persistent criticism around Vlahovic: “It’s normal to be criticised when so much has been spent on you.” Di Napoli argued the striker’s form at Juventus hasn’t matched his explosive spell at Fiorentina, noting that heavy expectations and his substantial wage have compounded the pressure.

Massimo Pavan, through Tutto Juve, voiced frustration not just with Vlahovic’s form but the broader handling of his situation at the club, insisting, “A great club must command respect, and Juventus has to start doing so again,” underscoring the need for institutional stability.

Meanwhile, former manager Fabio Capello, speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Bianconera News, highlighted the difficulty of managing Vlahovic’s high-value status. Capello also offered a measured take on new signing Jonathan David, calling him “the perfect addition on paper,” yet emphasizing that proof will only come on the pitch and that adapting to Serie A’s demands presents an enduring challenge for any newcomer.

Elsewhere, the adaptation of Nico Gonzalez drew a different kind of assessment. Alejandro Giordano, a video analyst at Club Banfield, told TuttoJuve (as reported by Bianconera News) that Gonzalez’s first season was “acceptable for a player at a top club.” Giordano pointed to a “logical period of adaptation,” especially considering Gonzalez’s two-month injury layoff and his productive minutes under coach Igor Tudor. He urged patience, observing that Gonzalez reached his best level in his third campaign at Fiorentina: “Players need time to learn a new club, the coach’s system, and their teammates.”

Blaise Matuidi, speaking to Tuttosport and quoted by both Spazio J and JNetwork24, remains confident in the squad’s quality and the club’s trajectory. Matuidi praised the ambition and culture of Juventus, likening it to a “family” and suggesting the club’s mix of youth and experience is well-placed for future success. He singled out Khéphren Thuram’s potential and described Yildiz as a “spectacular” prospect, indicative of a talented generation. On the club’s leadership, Matuidi expressed faith in Comolli’s vision and concluded, “I think they can try to compete for the title.”

While transfer market strategies and individual criticisms dominate the conversation, there remains optimism that with patience and the right support, several of Juventus’ much-discussed names could still deliver on their promise.
