The 2024/25 Premier League season continues with the third round of fixtures ahead of the international break.
An international break so soon into the season isn’t a welcome one, but the Premier League will go off with a bang. Four teams are still perfect heading into game week three, and two open the weekend as Arsenal host Brighton.
Defending champions Manchester City travel to West Ham, Tottenham travels to Newcastle, while Manchester United hosts rival Liverpool at 17:00 to conclude the weekend.
We’ve looked at all 10 matches from gameweek three and offered our predicted scores.
Two of the Premier League’s perfect sides open this week’s action as Arsenal host Brighton. The Gunners have two clean sheets from two matches in the league this season and they have won their last two matches against Brighton without conceding.
Wolves are yet to pick up a point in the Premier League this season, while Nottingham Forest has one and draw from their opening two games. However, the last two Premier League meetings between these two sides at the City Ground have finished level.
Leicester have lost just seven of their 28 Premier League game against Aston Villa. However, Villa have won two of their last three Premier League trips to the King Power Stadium. Villa have also won 15 away games since Unai Emery took charge, the third-most in the Premier League during that time.
Prediction: Leicester 1-3 Aston Villa
Betano are offering new customers the chance to get 50/1 on Aston Villa to beat Leicester and 100 free spins.
To claim this offer, follow these steps:
Fulham got their first league win of the season last weekend, while Ipswich remain without a point. Fulham has also won its last four league games against Ipswich, but it drew five of its six games against promoted sides in the Premier League last season.
Prediction: Ipswich 2-2 Fulham
Brentford has won its last three Premier League games against Southampton, all without conceding. Southampton has also won just one of its last nine away league games against Brentford and just one of its last eight Premier League visits to London.
Everton is without a point or a goal in the Premier League this season, while Bournemouth has drawn its two matches. However, the Toffees have won six of their seven Premier League home games against Bournemouth, with the past two victories at Goodison Park bringing clean sheets.
Prediction: Everton 2-0 Bournemouth
Man City are perfect in the Premier League and face Pep Guardiola’s favourite opponents, West Ham. Guardiola is unbeaten in his 16 league games against West Ham as Man City manager, the joint-best record vs a single opponent in the competition’s history.
Prediction: West Ham 1-3 Man City
Paddy Power is offering new customers enhanced odds on this weekend’s West Ham vs. Man City clash.
To claim this offer, follow these steps:
Newcastle and Tottenham are level on four points after two Premier League games. The Magpies have won their last two home league games against Tottenham by an aggregate score of 10-1, and three of the past four overall. This is also the most-played Premier League fixture not to have a goalless draw.
Chelsea got their first league win of the season last weekend, while Crystal Palace have lost both of their matches so far. The Blues are also on a run of 14 straight victories over Crystal Palace across all competitions, but the Eagles have scored in three of the past four.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Crystal Palace
Manchester United may be going into this game off the back of a defeat, but they will be confident of a result against Liverpool. The Red Devils have lost just one of their last five meetings with Liverpool across all competitions, with the last three ending in draws — including the 4-3 win in the FA Cup that was level after 90 minutes.
Prediction: Man Utd 2-2 Liverpool
