Premier League side Bournemouth are closely watching the situation with Real Madrid’s left-back, Fran Garcia, claims a report from Mundo Deportivo.

It has been suggested that the left-back position at Real Madrid is currently a bit tricky. Although it is understood that Madrid have always had Ferland Mendy and Garcia in plans, the club is still looking to strengthen this position.

One name that has come up is Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. Davies’ contract with Bayern Munich is set to end in 2025, and he seems uninterested in renewing it

While there is not any solid evidence that Davies will join Real Madrid this summer, the latest update suggests that Bayern Munich might risk losing him for free in 2025 instead of selling him to Real Madrid this summer.

Everything would change for Garcia if Davies joins

If Davies does join Real Madrid, it would make little sense to keep Garcia. This could create a ‘domino effect,’ where Garcia, currently Mendy’s backup, would look for opportunities to get more playing time elsewhere.

Interestingly, other clubs are aware of this potential scenario, particularly Bournemouth. The English club, managed by Andoni Iraola, is reportedly keeping an eye on Garcia’s situation.

Iraola, who previously coached Garcia at Rayo Vallecano, trusts his abilities on the left flank. Garcia performed well under Iraola’s guidance, making him an attractive option for Bournemouth.

Garcia’s market value is around €15 million, however, Real Madrid are not eager to let him go just yet. They see him as an important player from their youth academy, alongside Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez, who are also from the academy and part of the first team.

In summary, while Real Madrid is considering their options for the left-back position, Garcia might find a new opportunity with Bournemouth if Davies joins the Spanish giants.

For now, Garcia remains an important part of Real Madrid’s squad, but this situation could change depending on upcoming transfers.
