FLW take a look at what players could attract interest at Norwich City this summer.
Norwich City are one of many teams embroiled in the play-off race and will be hoping to secure a top-six spot come May.
Arguably one of the most inconsistent teams in the league, many would say the Canaries are fortunate to still be in contention. However, when at their best, they can be unstoppable.
Impressive victories over Swansea City, Watford, and Plymouth Argyle have highlighted their potential, yet they remain vulnerable to poor performances at the other end of the scale.
If they do secure a play-off spot, then their best players will have placed themselves in the shop window. With this in mind, Football League World have identified three players who could be sold in the summer and just how much they would go for.
Borja Sainz has been one of the faces of the Championship this term and could easily depart Norwich City this summer should a decent offer arrive.
Arguably the most naturally gifted player in the EFL, he has built upon what he showed last year and has an ability to score a goal from anywhere on the pitch.
While an incident has seen him miss the past six games, he is set to return in the near future and could be the man to fire them towards that top-six.
Currently, the top scorer in the division, Sainz has earned reported interest from the likes of Villarreal, Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. A return to Spain may pique the interest of the left-winger, who is a product of Bilbao's academy, having spent five years in the Basque Country.
If he were to leave Carrow Road this summer, Norwich would command a significant fee, and despite having just 12 months left on his contract, a £15-20 million valuation would not be unreasonable.
Josh Sargent has had fitness issues, but when available he is arguably the best striker in the Championship.
Signed by Norwich during the 2021-22 season, the striker averages just under a goal a game in the second tier and has attracted interest in the past. According to a report from The Athletic last summer, Bournemouth, St Louis City and FC Cincinnati were keen on Norwich's Sargent.
If he can continue his strong form this campaign, then a number of clubs in the Premier League and America may return this summer, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Canaries move him on.
He would likely command a substantial fee, and it’s hard to see Norwich parting with their attacker unless a bid of at least £18 million comes in.
With his contract running until 2028, the club remains in a strong position regarding his future. However, Sargent will surely be eager to test himself at a higher level if the Canaries fail to offer that opportunity.
The final player on this list is Marcelino Núñez, who has been a mainstay in the Canaries team since signing from Universidad Católica in Chile.
While he has missed a smattering of games through injury this term, this has arguably been his most impressive season, with the 24-year-old leading the midfield alongside Kenny McLean.
According to reports from the summer, Trabzonspor made a bid to sign Nunez, for a fee of €3.5million. However, nothing came to fruition and the Chilean has continued his development at Carrow Road.
If he can help push Norwich into the top six, then interest may return in the summer and the club would now be in a position to ask for a fee well in excess of €3.5 million. While he would also only have a year remaining, you can imagine that a £10 million figure would be suitable for his services.
Norwich would undoubtedly like to retain him regardless of what division they're in, but if the right money arrives it is difficult to say no.
