Bayern Munich host Bundesliga rival Bayer Leverkusen in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday night, and Vincent Kompany goes into this game with a full squad available for selection.
The only question mark heading into the game is whether or not Leon Goretzka is fit enough to start, if not then expect Aleksandar Pavlovic to play alongside Joshua Kimmich – who returns after missing the game against Stuttgart – in central-midfield, but there is hope that Goretzka will make the starting lineup.
With Sacha Boey overcoming an illness and Kimmich in midfield, Konrad Laimer will retain his place at right-back alongside Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae and Alphonso Davies. In attack, Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman should make up the trio supporting Harry Kane, but it’s possible that Leroy Sané could start ahead of Coman.
Manuel Neuer – Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, Alphonso Davies – Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka – Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, Kingsley Coman – Harry Kane.
