Today we've got Sunderland fan Tom A. Smith!

Hi Tom. What are you hoping to see from Sunderland in the 2025/26 Premier League season?

I’m hoping to see Sunderland continue what we saw last season and keep battling to keep their place in the division and hopefully beat Newcastle at least once.

What is your hottest take or boldest prediction for Sunderland's 2025/26 Premier League season?

I think Eliezer Mayenda is going to be a bit of a force. I think he’ll more than match the pace of the league and get some good numbers to solidify himself as a quality Premier League forward.

If you were going to bet your life savings on something definitely happening to Sunderland in the 2025/26 season, what would it be?

I can guarantee that the Stadium Of Light will become an absolute fortress and will be a difficult ground to come to.

Other than your own, which team or player are you most excited to watch in the 2025/26 season?

The player I’m excited about seeing in the Premier League this season is our former loanee Amad Diallo. We loved him when he was here and I can’t wait to see him at the ground again.

What do you predict will be the first managerial change of the 2025/26 season?

I think Scott Parker will struggle. Burnley were a good defensive unit in the Championship but he has always struggled to keep teams alive in the Premier League. We will see.

Who will turn out to be Sunderland's signing of the summer?

I think Granit Xhaka is an excellent signing and he will prove his worth no doubt. He’ll really solidify the midfield. I also feel Simon Adringra is an exciting signing and we know he has Premier League quality.

Who will finish as the Premier League's Player of the Season?

I think it’s hard to look past Cole Palmer. He is absolutely world class and I think he’ll lead Chelsea to help challenge for the title. Also an honourable mention for Luke O’Nien.

Who will win the Golden Boot?

Viktor Gyökeres is an outstanding signing and I saw his quality in the Championship only a couple of seasons ago. I think he will get some serious numbers for Arsenal this season.

Which club will win the Premier League title?

Liverpool have somehow managed to make their squad even better so  I’m sure they wll once again win the league. Arsenal and Chelsea could also be good challengers.

Finally, which three clubs will be relegated?

Burnley, Brentford, Leeds. Sunderland to stay up.
