Warren Bondo was one of two permanent signings that AC Milan made in the winter window, but not much has been seen from him recently.
PianetaMilan ask the question: what happened to Warren Bondo? Milan revolutionised the squad during the winter mercato, especially on a heated last day of the window. In the last few hours, Ismael Bennacer went to Marseille and Bondo was signed from Monza.
After a couple of rounds in Serie A spent on the sidelines due to a small injury, the Frenchman was included in the squad called up by Sergio Conceicao, who also tried him as a starter against Lecce in place of Youssouf Fofana.
After the tactical change to a 3-4-3 system and the reinstatement of Fofana among the regular starters, Bondo has not seen the pitch anymore, a bit like Yunus Musah who was used more regularly before.

In the last few league and Coppa Italia matches, Conceicao even preferred Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Filippo Terracciano from the bench to give the starters a breather. Why? In the few minutes played with Milan, Bondo has shown that he is still a raw player for this level.
Yet, he has also demonstrated that he is a midfielder capable of giving a lot: running, aggression and pressing without the ball, good passing and other good signs. The future though remains to be deciphered, based on the head coach that arrives.
Kevin Zeroli will return from Monza and we will have to understand the fate of Musah, Loftus-Cheek and Bondo himself. The Frenchman will probably remain at Milan, given next year he will be eligible to be included in the European squad lists as a homegrown player. For now, he is a marginal piece.
