A player who is still registered as a Chelsea player says that he did ‘everything possible’ to leave the club recently.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea getting an essential three points on Saturday afternoon by beating Everton 1-0 at home after a fantastic first half goal from striker Nicolas Jackson ending his 2025 goal draught.

Another one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch was defender Trevoh Chalobah and really, he was a strong candidate for man of the match too. Enzo Maresca defended Chelsea’s decision to let him go on loan in the summer after then recalling him in the winter.

Things have not been all rainbows and flowers at Chelsea in the last few years of course, and a lot of players have come and gone. Joao Felix has come and gone TWICE in fact, and it sounds like the last time he left he was pretty desperate to go.

Felix has spoken to Gazzetta dello Sport about his time at Milan so far and how the idea of joining the Italian giants took shape.

He told the newspaper, when asked what he thought when Milan first came calling: “Before the offer arrived, I watched Milan games and thought that I would have liked to play in that shirt. When the offer came, everything became very easy: I told my agent to do everything possible to close the deal and it went well.”

Speaking further about his admiration for the Rossoneri, the Portugal international said:

“Together with Barcelona, ​​Real Madrid and a few others, Milan is among the elite of the most important clubs in the world. It is different to wear this shirt than to wear others. And when Milan comes after you, it is difficult to say no.”
