Jurgen Klopp will bid a special farewell to Liverpool supporters, the club and the city he has called home for the last nine years at a commemoration event held in his honour later this month.

"An Evening with Jurgen Klopp & Special Guests" will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at the M&S Bank Arena and promises to be the German manager's epic going-away party.

The night will feature live musical performances from local bands The Lightning Seeds and The Zutons among others, plus acclaimed tenor Alfie Boe will also sing live.

Another one of Liverpool’s own, comedian and diehard Red John Bishop, will host the exclusive event.

Klopp will reflect on his hugely successful nine-year tenure at Anfield in a candid live Q&A session with fans, taking questions from longtime LFC TV presenter Peter McDowall.

Fans can expect anecdotes, heartfelt reflections and magical memories on the part of the 56-year-old as he bids an official farewell to the Kop faithful after nine unforgettable years at the helm.

Doors will open at 6:30pm with the program kicking off at 8pm. Tickets start at £37 and additional information is available on the event website.

With Klopp's unforgettable tenure now in its final days, this promises to be an epic curtain call for one of the most successful and beloved managers in Liverpool's storied history.

The German manager will give fans one final chance to connect with him before moving on from Anfield.

Klopp looking forward to going-away party

He spoke about the event during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League showdown with Aston Villa on Monday night.

“I had a lot of evenings with Jurgen Klopp,” he began. “It's neither my idea or am I involved in the organisation. I have no clue what happens that night.

“I said whatever people ask me to do that in that perspective, I will do. I make it happen. No problem to come a week after the season is over. If the people want that, I will be here. It will be good, I hope so. No pressure on the people organising it.”
