Inter got a close-up look at the FIFA Club World Cup trophy ahead of the newly-formatted tournament at the end of the 2024-25 season, as Beppe Marotta, Javier Zannetti and the Nerazzurri senior management team hosted a special presentation event in San Siro on Saturday.

Inter, along with Juventus, are the two Italian representatives heading to the United States for the 2025 Club World Cup: The first of a newly-formatted tournament that involves 32 teams and will take place every four years.

Ahead of the tournament, the Club World Cup trophy is on a tour around the world, and is currently in the city of Milan, and is currently in San Siro for an exclusive event hosted by Marotta and Zanetti, along with a number of FIFA delegates.

“Being one of the only two teams representing Italy is a source of great pride for us, the result of the work of the last five years: we deserved this place,” Marotta said at the event.

He continued: “The Club World Cup will be a unique experience in the middle of two different seasons, in a new format that will allow us to compete with the best teams in the world.

“Inter is a great club and its history speaks for itself: we participate in every competition with maximum concentration and our desire is to do well and aim to win to bring the name of Inter higher and higher in Europe and the world.”
