Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. made full use of the opportunity to poke fun at the Atlético Madrid faithful on Wednesday night.
This, of course, comes after Real once again triumped in the latest edition of the Madrid Derby.
The capital rivals locked horns a short time ago, in the 2nd leg of a Champions League Last-16 tie.
Atlético notched the only goal of the evening inside the opening 60 seconds of action, sending proceedings to extra-time and an eventual penalty shootout following Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory in the tie’s opener last week.
And, when all was said and done, it was the latter who held their nerve from the spot, to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The aforementioned Vinícius, for his part, endured an outing to forget at the Metropolitano, missing a penalty during normal time, before being hooked by boss Carlo Ancelotti before the shootout.
As much culminated in the Brazilian being heavily targeted by sections of the home crowd in attendance at the fixture.
Vinícius, though, enjoyed the last laugh…
First, after being hauled off, the winger was spotted gesturing to the Atlético faithful that Real Madrid have won 15 Champions League titles, to their neighbours’ zero:
Then, following the shootout, Vinícius returned for more, laying down a Real Madrid jacket on the pitch, before pointing to the club’s badge:
