Barcelona star Joan García was spotted sporting serious facial swelling on the back of the club’s meeting with RCD Mallorca on Saturday.
This comes after the 24-year-old was at the heart of one of the game’s headline moments.
Barcelona of course kicked the defence of their La Liga title into gear yesterday evening, in a meeting with Mallorca at Son Moix.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged dominant 3-0 victors, courtesy of goals on the part of all of Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Lamine Yamal.
At the other end, meanwhile, summer signing Joan García was afforded his debut, impressing en route to keeping a clean sheet.
As alluded to above, though, the shot-stopper’s efforts on the evening also left him a touch battered and bruised.
After already suffering a hand injury during the warm-up at Son Moix, Joan was then kicked in the face by Vedat Muriqi during the clash, culminating in the latter being shown a straight red card.
