The match looms as a key fixture in Manchester City’s bid to secure Champions League qualification for next season. Pep Guardiola was asked about the condition of Erling Haaland ahead of tomorrow’s match during his pre-game press conference earlier today. Guardiola revealed that Haaland is fit to play tomorrow. Rodri, Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb have trained but aren’t yet available for selection for Manchester City.

It also emerged earlier this week that Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb had returned to training. That was welcome news for Manchester City. Rodri has also continued to train as he bids to return from the ACL injury he sustained in September. Pep Guardiola was also asked whether or not any of that trio would feature against Southampton. He told the media: “Still not available. They’ve started training with us partially, but they’re still not available.

Manchester City are getting players back from injury. It isn’t a surprise to see that Oscar Bobb, Nathan Ake and Rodri ruled out of tomorrow’s match. The trio are all coming back from long-term injuries. But the possibility of Erling Haaland starting tomorrow is an exciting prospect ahead of the must-win Premier League fixture. If Haaland starts his presence may lift a Manchester City side that are currently on a nine-match unbeaten run. Whether or not Erling Haaland starts tomorrow will be known when the starting lineups are announced ahead of kick off tomorrow.
