Paulo Cardoso signs pro contract with Sporting CP | OneFootball

The young Portuguese midfielder joins the Lisbon club’s B team for his first professional seasons.

Paulo Cardoso officially signed with Sporting CP on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The 18-year-old Cape Verdean midfielder joins the Portuguese club’s B team, where he will kick off his professional career.

A product of CF Estrela da Amadora’s youth academy, Paulo Cardoso wrapped up the 2024-2025 season with 35 official appearances across all categories (U19, U23, and reserves). He notched up 14 goals, a tally that caught the attention of Sporting CP, always on the lookout for explosive attacking talent.

“It’s a tremendous honor to represent such a great club as Sporting CP. I am very happy to be here. I hope to have a strong season and help the team—I will give everything I have. We can achieve something great,” he told the media during his official unveiling.
