According to a report from Marc Mechenoua, Paul Pogba (32) is set to complete his move to Monaco on Thursday. The France international midfielder will sign a two-year deal with Les Monégasques when he arrives in the Principality.
Pogba is joining the Principality club on a free transfer. The Frenchman saw his contract with Juventus terminated in November 2024 after his ban was prematurely lifted. He was issued a 4-year doping ban after testing positive for a banned substance. However, on appeal, the ban was reduced to 18 months. The midfielder has been training alone in Miami whilst waiting to sign for his new club.
There was a point where it looked like Pogba’s move to Monaco could collapse. The prospective deal hit a potential hurdle when it was reported that another club was looking to hijack the Ligue 1 club’s move for the 32-year-old. Al Ittihad were the club interested in the former Manchester United midfielder, but he opted for a move to his homeland over a move to Saudi Arabia.
