Starting off, the youngster mentioned that he looks up to several players, with Raphinha standing out as a key figure.

According to Victor, Raphinha’s dedication in training is remarkable, and he even went so far as to say that the Brazilian winger “deserves the Ballon d’Or for how he trains”.

Another player Victor admires is Robert Lewandowski, describing the experience of training alongside the Polish striker as initially overwhelming.

However, he quickly adjusted, with Lewandowski offering valuable advice and feedback. Victor feels fortunate to train alongside such an experienced player and has built a strong relationship with him.

“At first it impacts you, but then you get used to it. In training we do exercises together, he gives me advice, comments on things, I’m very good with him,” he said.

Thoughts on Hansi Flick and comparison with Xavi

When it comes to Hansi Flick’s methods, Victor highlighted one of the manager’s key rules: punctuality. Flick is known for being very strict about time, and Victor explained that being even a few seconds late to training is unacceptable.

“He is very picky about punctuality. If he says 11.00 a.m. to the field, at 11.00 and 3 seconds you are already late.” He also mentioned that if a player is late, the team “the delegate tells you what you have to pay.”

The former Girona forward noted that Jules Kounde, who was recently benched for being late to a tactical meeting, struggles the most with punctuality.

He also compared Flick’s approach to that of Xavi, noting that while Xavi’s focus was more on tactics, Flick’s training methods cover a wide range of aspects. He described Flick’s pre-season as particularly intense, which contrasts with Xavi’s more tactical approach.

“Hansi gave us a very hard preseason, while Xavi Hernandez was more tactical, Hansi does a little bit of everything,” he explained.

Inigo Martinez and Lamine Yamal

Victor also shared some fun details about the team’s downtime. Table football is a popular hobby among the players, and Inigo Martinez is considered the best at it, often winning and teasing others with good-natured laughter.

“He is very good and he laughs at the others,” he noted.

As for music, Lamine Yamal is the team’s DJ, keeping things lively with energetic tunes. While most players enjoy the upbeat tracks, Frenkie de Jong “does not like the music of Yamal.”

“There are days that end with a lot of noise. Listening to these songs at 9.00 a.m. in the morning, you don’t feel like it, but it’s very good,” he noted.
