With Fabio Paratici now on the verge of becoming the new Milan director of sport, he will also help choose the next coach, focusing on Max Allegri, Roberto De Zerbi or Antonio Conte.
Paratici is having a meeting with Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani in London this afternoon, one of a series of summits the pair have had in recent weeks.
Sky Sport Italia and others report this could be getting the final details down on the contract terms before announcing Paratici will be their new director of sport, a role that has been absent since Antonio D’Ottavio left in December 2024.
His first job will be to choose the coach for the 2025-26 campaign, as Sergio Conceicao seems unlikely to be kept in the position beyond the end of this season.

According to Calciomercato.com, Paratici is pushing for the return of an Italian coach at San Siro after the disappointment of Paulo Fonseca and Conceicao.
His ideal candidate would be Conte, whose future at Napoli is somewhat up in the air, especially as Paratici already worked with him at Tottenham Hotspur.
However, after winning the Scudetto at Inter and receiving interest from his old club Juventus, this would be very difficult to achieve.
The most likely candidate is therefore Allegri, who has already won the Serie A title at Milan over a decade ago and is currently out of contract.
There were reports Paratici met with the agent of Olympique Marseille boss De Zerbi, whose position is increasingly in doubt after three consecutive defeats at the French club.
