West Ham United entertained Chelsea at the London Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result in the London derby. The Hammers made a bright start to the game as they took the lead in the sixth minute thanks to Lucas Paqueta’s great strike from long range. However, the Blues equalised just nine minutes later when Joao Pedro scored with a good header. Pedro Neto put Chelsea 2-1 up in the 23rd minute before Enzo Fernandez got his name on the scoresheet in the 34th minute. Graham Potter’s men were trailing 3-1 at the half-time break.

Moises Caicedo added another goal for the visitors in the 54th minute. Just four minutes later, Trevoh Chalobah found the back of the net as Graham Potter’s men ended up suffering a dismal 5-1 loss in front of their home fans.

He did his fair share of defending but was far from convincing during the contest.

CM: Tomas Soucek – 6/10

Soucek worked hard but failed to get a foothold in the game.

He anchored the midfield well and made a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
