Liverpool schooling Manchester United has become a regular occurrence but it wasn't always this way.
Back in 2009, the North West arch-rivals were vying for that season's Premier League title as Rafael Benítez attempted to go toe-to-toe with Sir Alex Ferguson.
The reigning champions had opened up a seven-point gap on the Reds at the summit before the pair prepared to face off at Old Trafford on 14 March.
But despite taking an early first-half lead courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty, United were on the receiving end of a 4-1 hammering by their Anfield counterparts.
Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard, Fábio Aurélio and Andrea Dossena all found the net in United's heaviest home defeat since losing to QPR in January 1992.
Unfortunately for Liverpool, Ferguson would have the last laugh as his side still finished four points clear in the title race to equal their record haul of 18.
