Few footballers who have hailed from Asia have ever found their way to the top of the Premier League. And of that small number, Son Heung-min is chief among them.
Arriving in the north of the capital from Bayern Leverkusen in August of 2015, the Chuncheon-born forward was always billed to have a bright career ahead of him.
Impressing with the aforementioned Leverkusen and Hamburg, with whom he graduated from their academy setup, Son has gone on to repay the £22 million Tottenham paid to secure his services, and then some.
Fast-forward to the present and the South Korean star has carved a legacy with the club that many will never forget.
But it was on this day back in 2023 when Son would guarantee his place in the history books when he became the first Asian player in league history to reach the 100-goal club.
Currently sitting on 127 Premier League goals and despite a painful 2024/25 season for Tottenham, Spurs fans will be forever grateful for the memories.
