Barcelona star Alejandro Balde previously highlighted incoming teammate Marcus Rashford as his choice, when asked during an interview which English player he would like to see play for Spain.

Frontman Rashford, of course, is all set to link up with Hansi Flick’s Barca this summer.

Following weeks of rampant speculation, on Saturday, the Blaugrana at last tied up a transfer agreement with both the Englishman, and Manchester United.

Rashford will take his talents to the Camp Nou on loan for the season ahead, with the deal featuring an option to buy next summer.

And one player who will no doubt be delighted with news of as much is the aforementioned Alejandro Balde.

Speaking in a past interview, left-back Balde was asked to name ‘the English player that I would like to be Spanish’.

This came with a view to joining forces at international level.

And the 21-year-old did not hesitate in pointing towards Rashford, as showcased in the footage below:
