An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this week secured a temporary departure from the club.
The player in question? Jeremy de León.
The name of yougster De León will likely be a recognisable one to many of a Real Madrid persuasion, after the Puerto Rican was frequently included in Carlo Ancelotti’s travelling parties for Champions League fixtures during the 2023/24 season.
Considered something of a good luck charm, De León was drafted in all the way through the tournament’s finale, as Real Madrid triumphed on the continent once more.
Since, however, the 21-year-old has endured an altogether tough time of things in Spain’s capital.
Owing to a string of injury problems, De León managed just four appearances for Real Madrid Castilla last season.
In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of the winger this week being farmed out on loan.
As confirmed in a statement on the part of Hércules CF, De León has joined the club for the duration of the 2025/26 campaign.
