Real Madrid will be gunning to revive their UEFA Champions League campaign when they take on Atalanta later tonight in Bergamo.

Having already lost three of their five games in Europe, Los Blancos are in a precarious position and cannot afford any more slip-ups if they hope to progress further.

Ahead of the crucial game against last season’s UEFA Europa League winners, Carlo Ancelotti has announced the starting XI with some interesting selections.

The biggest news is that Vinicius Jr. is fit again and starts in attack for Real Madrid, pairing up with marquee summer signing Kylian Mbappe.

Meanwhile, Brahim Diaz gets the nod as the third attacker ahead of other options like Arda Guler and Rodrygo, who has also returned from injury.

Federico Valverde, Dani Ceballos, and Jude Bellingham form the midfield department for Real Madrid against Atalanta, meaning there is no place for captain Luka Modric.

Interestingly, Ancelotti has once again started Aurelien Tchouameni as a centre-back alongside Antonio Rudiger, meaning Raul Asencio is benched again. Lucas Vazquez and Fran Garcia line up as the full-backs with Thibaut Courtois in goal.
