La Liga giants Real Madrid have late this week announced a fresh departure from the club’s personnel ranks.
The latest Blancos player to have moved on? Reinier Jesus.
The name of Reinier will likely not be all that a familiar one to those to have joined the Real Madrid fanbase over the last few years.
This comes with the Brazilian, since his highly-anticipated arrival all the way back in 2020, having failed to carve out a single first-team appearance.
Instead, Reinier was farmed out on a series of loans away from Spain’s capital.
After La Liga 2 outfit Granada opted against attempting to make his signing permanent following a temporary spell this past season, the 23-year-old recently returned to base at Valdebebas.
But as alluded to above, his stay has since proven to be a short-lived one.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:
‘Real Madrid C.F. and Clube Atlético Mineiro have agreed to the transfer of our player Reinier.
‘Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and affection for the years he has spent at the club, and wishes him and his family all the best in this new stage of his life.’
