Official: Real Betis star signs contract extension | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Tuesday announced an important contract extension in the club’s first-team squad.

The player to have put pen to paper on fresh terms with Manuel Pellegrini’s troops? Johnny Cardoso.

Midfielder Cardoso, for his part, has continued to play a leading role for Real Betis across the 2024/25 campaign to date.

From his berth in the middle of the park, the American international has racked up 25 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with a goal and an assist along the way.

And evidently, along the way, Cardoso has managed to continue impressing those behind the scenes at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.

This comes amid confirmation that the 23-year-old has been rewarded with a fresh one-year contract extension.

As per a statement across Betis’ official website and social media platforms:

‘Real Betis Balompié and Johnny Cardoso have agreed to extend the Brazilian midfielder’s contract for one more year. The American international is thus linked to Real Betis until 2030.’
